We introduced Featuring as a way for professors to call out what they believe to be excellent examples of questions students have posed within the community. By doing so, you encourage your students to strive for creating questions of equal or greater value. This is your chance to shine a spotlight on your students' work!
How to Feature Posts
We've made the process for featuring a post easy for you to accomplish quickly. Take a look at our instructional video for step-by-step instructions on how you can go about featuring a post!
Step-by-Step Instructions for How to Feature a Post
- On the “Options” drop-down tab for that question, click “Feature”
- The question will remain on the feed and show that it has been Featured
- The question will also be taken to the “Featured Posts” tab on your community page
- Students will see the week’s featured post on the Curious Reader email every Thursday
Why Do We Use Featuring?
Featuring questions or answers allows us to highlight the amazing work students are doing! When you highlight on posts you feel to be high quality, students will feel a sense of gratification and motivation when receiving the weekly Curious Reader email housing all the featured content from the week
More than that, Featuring is a quick way to intrinsically reward a student for their hard work
When Should You Use Featuring?
Any time, any place! You can feature as many questions and posts as you would like! Set a goal for yourself to feature at least 4 posts per week. Then you will get an email from us each Monday showing you proposed featured posts. Use this as a starting point when digging into your community!
