My email is already in use. What should I do?

If you’re trying to login to Packback for the first time or are trying to update the email address associated with your account and you receive a notification that the email is already in use, this means that it already exists on our platform. 

If you are a new user trying create a Packback account for the first time...

...then your account has already been created for you by your instructor! Here's what you should do to resolve this:

  1. Check your email inbox (or spam folder to be safe) for an email from with the subject line "Finish Registration..." Follow the instructions on this email to set a password for your account. Once you've done that, you should be able to login without a problem!
  2. If you're unable to find that email, you can still set a password for the account! 
    • Follow this link:
    • Enter the email address of the account you're hoping to access.
    • You'll receive a password reset email shortly. Once you do, follow the instructions and finally login!

If you are an active Packback user attempting to change the email address on your account... have a couple options to be able to do so! Here's what you should do to resolve this:

  1. Contact our support team at! Let us know your current account's email address as well as the email address you'd like us to change it to. We'll be able to handle it!
  2. If changing your email address is not that urgent, you are able to do so yourself by deleting the account associated with the email address you'd like to use! 
    • First, login to that account
    • Click My Account in the upper righthand corner and then select Manage Account
    • You'll be taken to your account management page. Click Delete Account at the bottom of the lefthand panel.
    • Make sure to read through the terms of account deletion! If everything sounds good to you, go ahead and click the red Request Account Deletion button at the bottom of the page. 
    • Your account will be deleted in 24 hours. Once it has been, you should be able to log back into your active Packback account and change your email address to the desired one.

PLEASE NOTE: Once you delete your account, everything you've posted with this email will be deleted, and we will be unable to retrieve your work! If you made any posts with this account, be sure to copy and paste them onto a doc so you don't lose them.
